About
I finally decided to take the plunge, stop procrastinating and start writing a blog and do my best to fulfill my dreams and become an entrepreneur and launch my first start up. Or at the very least, learn what it takes to do so. Christine Comaford (author of Rules for Renegades) posted the following in my LinkedIn group BASE: “Finally, remember that entrepreneurs take risks – it’s part of why we’re the guts of this nation. So if you’re not hearing “no” all the time, you’re simply not asking enough. Get out there, stay enthused, and ROCK your OWN success. It may not come barging through your door, but I’m absolutely positive that if you open the right doors, it WILL be there waiting.” And all the sudden… the fear of rejection, failure and being laughed at, that always kept me one step short from taking the plunge, started to go away. Now I know that the road to success is through 1000s failures and NOs. They are all just part of the process! In the past few months, I thought a lot about what this blog would be, should be about. I thought about writing about my career transition away from personal training (here’s my trainer’s website) and back into high-tech, or writing about the things that I learn about UX (User Experience Design), thinking that that’s what I wanted to do once I got my foot back into the industry. Or may be it would be, yet another startup and technology review website… Today, I’m starting to realize that if my dream and goal is to become an entrepreneur and hopefully launch at least one successful start-up, then… I have to write about all those topics and more. I seek and thrive on mental/intellectual stimulation. I need to be constantly learning, and yes… making mistakes and getting those dreadful NOs that now I know are part of the process. So here I go… ONE BIG ADVENTURE! Along the way I’ll write about everything and anything that I discover, learn, think about, mistakes that I make and all the troubles and tribulations on my path to meeting my dreams!
